Things To Do

Gawler is a busy regional hub, with all the shopping and amenities you could ask for.  It has a rich heritage and wonderful walking trails for you to try.  There are bicycle trails (all the way to the Barossa if you wish), skate parks, playgrounds with shady trees or wide open spaces.

There are plenty of places to eat and enjoy the unique ambience of this large country town.

We are a gateway for the Barossa, Adelaide Hills, Clare Valley and Adelaide itself.  Stay for a day or stay for a week, there is plenty to do within easy reach of our park.

We have a range of brochures and information within our park and would be happy to help you out with day trip ideas while you explore our area.

Experience Oz

We are now an 'Experience Oz' agent and you can check out their website anytime for great, fun things to do while in South Australia. We can easily do the booking for you, take the payment and forward you a voucher. We are like a 'one stop shop' for your local tourism needs.

A Wine Wagon

We have a special relationship with Timo from A Wine Wagon and can organise day trips to the Barossa or Clare Valley depending on his schedule. Give us a call to book.

Gawler Museum - Old Telegraph Station

Built as a Telegraph Station in 1859 and now the home of the Gawler National Trust.

Tour Drovers Run

Tour around your favourite spots from the epic TV Series McLeod's Daughters. You can be picked up and dropped back right to the park! Too easy. There are a range of tours to try and every now & then they have meet and greet sessions with the actors! Definitely worth the stay.

Take the train into Adelaide

Shopping at Rundle Mall, the Art Gallery, the Zoo, the Casino and Adelaide Oval just one short train ride away. Hop on board and don't worry about expensive parking or road rage! The train station is a 7 minute walk from our park!

Barossa Farmers Market

The Barossa Farmers Market is on every Saturday morning. Take a quick trip up the road to Angaston and see, smell & taste the authentic produce.

Gawler Visitor Information Centre

Check out all the options on offer at the Visitor Information Centre. They have maps for walking trails and all the great places to visit in the area.

Whispering Wall

The whispering wall is a man-made reservoir retaining wall which is worth a visit, just to hear the amazing acoustic properties. Bring a friend and you can hear them as clear as day when they whisper from 100m away at the far end of the wall. Check out the wall then read all the history - it is over 100 years old!
